WORLD INTERCLUB LEAGUE 2005
First suggested by Ramon Carrera of the Sant Jaume course in Catalonia, Spain in an email exchange with Eero Tarik in Australia, the idea of a World Interclub League where Par 3 teams from around the world could play each other has grown from its initial season in 2005 to one of the world's most unique annual sporting contests.

Like no other sporting competition on earth, each team plays its matches on its own course, and compares its scores with a team on the other side of the world, using the wonders of the internet. It is unique, and exciting and you can follow the progess of the season on this website. The competition is open to players from all parts of the world, all you need is a team of 5 players and you are welcome to join the fun.
The World Interclub League's first round was played in Adelaide at the Glanville course where the Adelaide Avengers ventured out in torrential rain to take their place in sporting history. So dreadful was the weather that no members of the public played on the course that day - with the rain teeming down it was 76 year old Max Bertelsmeier who played the first ever shot in WIL.
