WORLD INTERCLUB LEAGUE
The World's most exciting short course golf competition tees off for its 4th season in July for four fun filled months.
Take on the World from your own course, with a team of 5 players.
How does it work? - the week before each round, you nominate the names of your team so your opponents know who they are playing - it adds to the mystery.
Three of the players will play singles, i.e. a single 18 hole round and the other two players play as a double, playing 4 Ball Better Ball (the better result of the two players is recorded as their score for each hole).
This gives a total of 4 scores for your team - 3 singles scores and a doubles score. By using a double in the team it allows for players of different abiltities to take part.
Your teams score is then compared against that of your opponent in that round. If you win you get 2 points, if you draw you get 1 point and if you lose you get zero points. At the end of the season the winner is the team with the most wins.
Depending on how many teams enter in each class,there may be divisions. In that case the top teams in each division will play off for the championship title.
There is an entry fee of $30 per team for the season
and that covers the cost of running the event and the cost of the trophies.
The World Interclub League is broken down into divisions with courses of similar length playing each other...
Class 12 - courses 1200-1600 metres long
Class 16 - courses 1601 - 2000 metres long
Class 20 - courses 2001 - 2500 metres long.
Class PP - courses 900 - 1199 metres long.

National Championships -
If you are planning a national or regional championship, please let us know and we will list your event on this site so that other players get the chance to enter.
You never know- there may be some players from interstate or around the world who want to visit your course and play in a major event.
If you are interested in hosting a major International Open or World Championship at your course, please drop us a line and we can send you out details of the criteria you need to meet.
