Jul-13 N.Zealand 12 def. Australia 6 Christchurch
Scorers: N.Zealand Mehrtens pen(4)
Australia Burke pen(2)
Comments: A very wet and cold evening in Christchurch with both sides playing a kicking game. In the end the difference was the 2 penalties missed by Burke in a very even contest.

Scorers: N.Zealand Howlett, Hammett, Thorne, Robertson, Marshall tries Mehrtens conv(2), pen(3), dg
S.Africa Greef, Joubert tries: Pretorius conv(2), pen, Greef dg
Comments: After a great start where they led 10-3 the South Africans were overrun by a rampaging AB outfit who then piled on 38 -10 for the rest of the game. Luck and the whistle went against the Boks but like most SA Super 12 teams all year they couldn’t play 80 minutes of rugby.

Scorers: Australia Tune, Mortlock , Latham (2) tries: burke conv(3), pen(3), Mortlock pen
S.Africa Joubert (2), Skinstad, Russell tries: Pretorius conv(2), pen
Comments: A fast encounter with Australia breaking away to a mtach winning lead in the first quarter before a full sclae brawl saw three players sin binned and from then on the Boks clawed their way back before a last second try sealed the Australian win.

Aug-03 Australia 16 def. New Zealand 14 Sydney
Scorers: Australia Sharpe, Rogers tries: Burke pen(2)
New Zealand McCaw try: Mehrtens pen(3)
Comments: Australia dominated the first half before the predicted AB comeback in the second. A penalty on the siren to Burke gave the Aussies another last gasp win over the Kiwis with Paul the Man of the Match.

Aug-10 S.Africa 23 lost to New Zealand 30 Durban
Scorers: S.Africa de Kock, Pretorius tries: Pretorius conv(2), pen(2) dg
New Zealand MacDonald, penalty try, Howlett, Mauger tries: Mehrtens conv(2), pen(20
Comments: A highly controversial game in which the ref awarded a very dubious penalty try to the visitors before being attacked by a spectator as the second half started. He went off injured, a new ref came on and it was a gripping 40 minutes with the Kiwis just sneaking in after a few try attempts by the home side were disallowed.
