Scorers:- S.AFRICA - nil tries: L.Koen pen (3)
game summary: The first half was tight although one sensed the Wallabies had the better of play, they just couldn’t finish off to punish the visitors. The second half started with the Boks building momentum across midfield, then a simple poor pass was snapped up by Rogers and he raced off for the try, a decisive blow to the Boks. The visitors were giving up easy possession with constant infringing and had two players binned for killing the ball. Their only score for the half was a penalty by Koen, who unusally, missed two attempts and a late try to Waugh blew the margin out to 20 pts, the Wallabies comfortable winners in the end.

Scorers:- S.AFRICA - R.Bands tries: L.Koen pen (1)
game summary: it was an uninspiring effort by the All Blacks, they did enough to win against a determined Springboks side that lacks enouhg penetration to seriously challenge. The highlights of the game were two brilliant tries. Rokocoko showed his blinding speed to win the race for a grubbered ball and Bands brushed aside the defence as he took off for a 50m gallop, a rare feat by a prop!!

Scorers:- AUSTRALIA - G.Smith tries: E.Flatley pen (4)
game summary: An early penalty to Flatley was followed by some poor field kicking and a try to Howlett in the 6th minute. He repeated the dose 20 minutes later and as the half ran down the AB's looked the stronger and fitter. The Wallabies made changes early in the second half, the Kiwis surviving two very close video ref decisions that went their way. A late try down the left to Smith with 4 minutes to go left the game in the balance but Flatley's difficult conversion missed and the home team hung on to win - and take the Bledisloe Cup.
