Scorers:- AUSTRALIA - Mortlock try: Giteau conv
game summary: It bucketed down all match and the Wallabies again showed how incompetent they are in the wet. The Australians defended grimly all night but lacked any method or skill with the wet ball and the field kicking of the Australians was disgraceful, Larkham pathetic whenever he ventured near the ball. And yet, with 10 minutes to go it was anyones game, the AB's leading 13-7. A penalty by Carter late in the match sealed the win and the home team retained the Bledisloe Cup.

Game 6 S.AFRICA ver. AUSTRALIA @ Auckland
21-Aug temp: ?°C forecast: ??   start time(local) 7.30pm
SCORES S.AFRICA       23       3 (h/t)                                      AUSTRALIA       19       7 (h/t)

Scorers:- AUSTRALIA - Tuqiri, Mortlock, Smith tries: Giteau conv(2)
game summary: The Wallabies started strongly with a try to Tuqiri and held a slight lead at the break, 7-3. Then a poor opening 20 minutes of the second half saw the locals sprint away to a 23-7 lead and the game looked over. But in typical Wallaby fashion, they came back to close the gap, as the whistle blew the Wallabies were going forward with the scoreline reading 23-19. Not a high standard game but a thriller like so many of the Tri Nations contests this year.
