The Super 12/ Super 14 competition is one of the world's more unique sporting competitions with teams spread over half the globe playing in a weekly league style competition. And with, hopefully, more visionary expansion on the cards over the next decade what was once the Super 12 might stretch from South Africa, across Oceania and over the Pacific to the USA, Canada and South America.

We live in a rapidly changing world. Sports, like rugby, need to remain modern and be progressive if they are to flourish.
The SANZAR nations generate the majority of their revenue from TV - but do we really have a TV friendly product? Do we have a large enough market to sustain the sport in the southern hemisphere?

It will surprise nobody that I believe strongly in expanding the Super 14 - here is my model for the future of this competition...
